There are two different modes to calculate the title insurance rate on a purchase or refinance of real property. All purchase transactions are charged the standard rate. Simply input the purchase price and click calculate and the charges will appear.
A refinance transaction title premium charge is based on a refinance rate up to the original amount of the mortgage(s) being paid off then the standard rate for the remainder of the new mortgage amount. If no mortgages are being paid off, leave the mortgage being paid off section blank and click calculate in order to obtain the premium.
